1. What is burnout and what are some causes of burnout ? Burnout has many definitions and is essentially physical and emotional exhaustion caused by long-term involvement in situations that are demanding and stressful. Some causes of burnout include complexity of work, lack of control of time, strained working relationships, work overload, and other occupational stressors.
2. What do you do in your life to decrease the chance of burnout? I used to travel and spend time with family.

1.Burnout is a state of emotional, physical and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress. It occurs when people feel overwhelmed, emotional drained, and unable to meet constant demands.
2. I like to hiking, swimming, or read a book , watch a nonmedical relate movie to relax.

1) Burn out is as we all know, the stress of our very responsible job, anesthetizing humans/souls and the days balance of our team, anesthesia/surgical team! and of course our work/life balance, quite a package!
2) I am beyond fortunate to have Gerry Clothier, THE man! in my life to be an outstanding listener (very rare quality) and find humor in all, every day!! COVID and pre-COVID times! AND...Clothier kids who are like their Dad, thank goodness, outstanding through COVID and pre-COVID burnout times! Fried!
